On behalf of the Board, staff, and students of the Meriwether County Schools, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to the voters of Meriwether County for overwhelmingly approving the ESPLOST VI renewal on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.  The renewal passed by a voter approval margin of over 86%.  The funding from the ESPLOST VI will allow the Meriwether County Schools to pay off all previously incurred bond indebtedness, renovate facilities and make technology improvements, and conduct a thorough study of the school system regarding future facility planning.  The vote of confidence from the citizens of Meriwether County is very humbling.  We will be good stewards of all taxpayer dollars and will strive to maximize the potential of all students.  As our tagline goes, “Every Student Matters, Every Moment Counts.”  Again, we thank you all on behalf of the Board, staff, and students of the Meriwether County Schools.

Dr. Robert Griffin, Superintendent
